Tactical Vessel Boarding Course

Tactical Vessel Boarding Course (TVBC)

This course is designed to provide the teams with a capability to stop a maritime disaster stemming from the disruption of port/harbor activities by means of a vessel attack. It is well known that terrorist organizations have been focusing on an attack, borne from the water, against structured maritime facilities. TVBC will provide each venue with a team that is well equipped, well trained, and mentally prepared to get out to a rogue vessel and stop it before it penetrates sensitive harbor infrastructure. TVBC will take each group and develop skills and tactics of each maritime mitigation team. We start with the basics of water competency and move through equipment effectiveness audits and upgrade suggestions. TVBC will provide extensive training, to each client, starting with operational preparation, continuing with maritime capability to approach and board a non-compliant vessel, and finishing with tactics to control a rogue vessel, bring it to a halt or turn it around, and maintain security of vessel cargo and crew until competent authorities are able to board the vessel. Exact structure of each course is determined following consultation with each client in order to reduce wasted time, effort and money.
